KTVU takes a look at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers' 2009 Golden Gate Express garden railway, celebrating The City and its history.
Sound designer Andrew Roth is featured on Japan's NHK roaming the mountains of Nagano while recording sounds for his CD and booklet project "Natural Sounds of Japan." Tracks include the crackling sea ice of Hokkaido, an evening symphony on the tropical island of Amami-Oshima, the singing sands of Kyoto's Tango peninsula, the volcanic landscape of Yaku-Kirishima National Park, and the cranes and deer of Kushiro wetlands.
Gensler teamed with Motorola to develop Motorola M-Lab, an "edu-tainment" venue that exposes kids to science, technology and innovation at career-focused theme park Wannado City in Florida. Gensler created an experience where tweens aged 8-12 play as "M-ventors" in Motorola's Innovation Lab, solving a unique problem using an interactive video game and working in teams. The result is an experience providing fun, learning and a new and positive connection to the Motorola brand.
The newly expanded Nemours/Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children features a unique interactive duPont Discovery Zone that puts kids right in the picture.
